Evaluation: Directors Cut Ideas
Zero Punctuation is a popular video game review by Ben "Yahtzee" Croshaw, and, like the name, has no punctuation; Yahtzee rambles about the games good and bad points in a comedic and cynical way.
The video is made up of a fast moving slideshow with images edited to the voiceover, and this idea is something that we are considering for our directors commentary, albeit we would change it to have the video (silenced) playing in the background, with images and other videos jumping onto the screen from time to time, while our group each takes turns talking about the question assigned.
The question we have to answer in the Directors Commentary is: "In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media texts?"
We are currently beginning to write the script for the commentary, and should have the audio recorded by the end of next week.
