Question 2. How effective is the combination of your main products and ancillary texts?
The first thing we need to ask ourselves is, what is a brand? A brand is a particular make of product with a usually iconic logo, eg Coca Cola, Starbucks, McDonald's etc.
The American Marketing Association defines a brand as a "Name, term, design, symbol, or any other feature that identifies one seller's good or service as distinct from those of other sellers."
Brands are not merely images, but send a message too, depending on the product. E.G A pair of trainers might make you cooler, whilst perfume could make you supposedly appear more attractive to the opposite sex. Our own brand image is directed at teenagers, appearing rebellious, angsty and easily relatable to real life teenagers.

Question 3-What have you learnt from your audience feedback?
We received both written and verbal feedback from our audience, which proved to be very helpful. In general the response was very good, the song appealed to them as did our music video, bar one minor 'snow effect' which felt out of place. We asked if it conformed to the usual image of a music video, if it made sense, was enjoyable etc and as said before, the result was very positive and the little criticism we received was constructive and understandable. The target audience was mainly teenage males, although a minority of females may be interested in Blink 182 and the music video, as it would be too much of a generalisation to say only males are interested. Overall we felt very pleased with the feedback.
