Planning: Shooting Schedule

On Thursday 27th November 2011, I began the location shoot for our music video. With the second of three members of the band, we successfully got over 25 minutes of raw footage to be edited and hacked down to put into our video. This location shoot managed to convey our chosen band image, Rebellious, Energetic and Youthful, and despite the immense effort that the day was, I am pleased with the footage shot.

These are two stills that we took from the hospital. As you can see, it is completely barren and destroyed, littered with debris and junk. This broken place serves perfectly for the depressed setting required for the downtrodden verses of "Stay Together For The Kids".

As Chris, our other band member, couldn't make it to the shoot (and as even if he could have, we couldn't have gotten drums into the hospital), we have decided to shoot Chris' drum scenes on the green screen, This will be both showing our technical prowess, and letting us experiment with new technology.

The day was, in my opinion, completely successful. There was no pressure to get all the shots, because we knew there would be studio time for that, so it was calming to just be able to have fun shooting our footage.
